π¨ Attempted Trailer Theft in Lugwardine |

At 02:54am on 5th June 2026, police received a report of the theft of a trailer from a property located on the A465 near Cotts Lane, Lugwardine. It appears that unknown offender(s) gained access to the property by cutting through a boundary fence before making off with a tipper trailer. The trailer was then dragged across a nearby field.
Thankfully, later that same morning, the owner located the trailer in a nearby field. It is believed that the rope used to tow it had snapped, causing the offenders to abandon it.
Whilst we are pleased the trailer has been recovered, this type of incident serves as a reminder that rural areas remain a target for opportunistic theft, particularly during the quieter overnight hours.
